The prevalence of acute pulmonary edema in Indonesia is recorded at around 14% of 100,000 people/year, with a mortality rate of 40% for patients who do not seek prompt treatment (Hariyanto, 2020). Objective: To analyze the application of progressive muscle relaxation therapy to ineffective breathing patterns in patients with acute pulmonary edema. Methods: This study used a descriptive research design with a case study approach in one patient with acute pulmonary edema. Results: From the implementation results carried out for 3 days starting from Tuesday, December 23, 2025 to Thursday, December 25, 2025. After being given progressive muscle relaxation therapy, the shortness of breath experienced by the client decreased, the client's respiratory rate improved and the patient's oxygen saturation also improved so that the nursing problem of ineffective breathing patterns was said to be resolved. Conclusion: After implementing progressive muscle relaxation therapy for 3 days, the final result was that the ineffective breathing pattern was resolved, meaning that the provision of progressive muscle relaxation therapy was effective in reducing shortness of breath in patients.

Keywords: Acute Pulmonary Edema, Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy, Ineffective Breathing Patter.

Hamdana Hamdana Nur Ilma Andi Tenriola Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Terpadu Panrita 2026-05-18 2026-05-18 1 1 10.37362/jtp.v1i1.938 Family Nursing Intervention Based on Celery Herbal Therapy (Apium Graveolens) In Lowering Blood Pressure in Hypertension Patients : A Case Study http://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jtpanrita/article/view/932
Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Hypertension management is not limited to pharmacological therapy but can also be achieved through non-pharmacological approaches, including herbal-based complementary therapies. One plant with potential as an antihypertensive is celery (Apium Graveolens). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of family nursing care through the provision of celery leaf decoction in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This study used a case study design with a family nursing care approach. The subject of the study was a 65-year-old hypertensive patient who lives in Bulukumba Regency. The intervention provided was health education and complementary therapy of celery leaf decoction for 7 consecutive days. Blood pressure measurements were carried out daily before and after the intervention to evaluate changes in blood pressure. The results showed a gradual decrease in blood pressure during the intervention period. The initial blood pressure of 165/90 mmHg decreased to 145/80 mmHg on the 7th day. In addition, there was an increase in family knowledge and involvement in hypertension management, as indicated by the family's ability to carry out therapy independently. The conclusion of this study shows that family nursing care through the provision of celery leaf decoction is effective in reducing blood pressure and increasing the role of the family in managing hypertension. This intervention can be an alternative non-pharmacological therapy that is simple, safe, and easy to implement at the community level.
Safruddin Safruddin Nur Baeti Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Terpadu Panrita 2026-05-17 2026-05-17 1 1 10.37362/jtp.v1i1.932 Nursing Intervention Of Deep Breath Relaxation And Dhikr In Patients At Risk Of Violent Behavior: A Case Study At Dadi Hospital, South Sulawesi Province http://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jtpanrita/article/view/1021
The prevalence of households with mental disorders in Indonesia is 3% of people, this figure indicates 3 per mile of households with ODGJ in every 1,000 households, so the number is estimated to be around 315,621 thousand ODGJ. There are several impacts that can be caused by the risk of violent behavior, namely a person can lose control of himself so that he can harm himself, others or damage the environment. The solution or non-pharmacological implementation to overcome the impact that may arise is deep breath relaxation therapy and dhikr. The purpose of applying dapalm and dhikr breath relaxation is to be able to carry out deep breath relaxation therapy and dhikr to clients with the risk of violent behavior. This study uses a descriptive design of a case study in the Kenari Room of RSKD Dadi, South Sulawesi Province. The intervention was given during six meetings (SP1–SP5) during 6–20 January 2025.Research Results Based on data analysis, a risk diagnosis of violent behavior was obtained, the interventions provided were deep breath relaxation therapy and dhikr, the implementation carried out for 6 days was found that the client was able to control violent behavior independently. The conclusion of this study is According to the results obtained, that the administration of deep breath relaxation therapy and dhikr makes Mr. S able to control violent behavior independently.
