Background: Anaemia during pregnancy remains a significant health problem in Indonesia, despite the long-standing implementation of iron (Fe) tablet supplementation programmes. One of the factors contributing to the high prevalence of anaemia is the low level of compliance among pregnant women in taking Fe tablets as recommended by medical professionals. However, compliance in taking Fe tablets is crucial to prevent various complications that can endanger the health of both the mother and the foetus. This study aims to determine the level of compliance among pregnant women in consuming iron tablets at RSUD X Jakarta Barat. The study employed a quantitative descriptive design with accidental sampling, involving 77 pregnant women who attended Antenatal Care (ANC) visits during April 2025. The instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using univariate methods and presented in the form of frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 20–35 years (66.2%), had completed high school education (51.9%), worked as housewives (44.2%), and were in their second to fifth pregnancies (51.9%). The level of compliance among pregnant women in taking iron tablets was categorised as compliant for 46 respondents (59.7%) and non-compliant for 31 respondents (40.3%). In conclusion, although the majority of pregnant women demonstrated compliance, further educational and supportive efforts are still required.
