At Posyandu X, Bekasi Regency, basic immunization coverage has not yet reached the optimal target. One factor suspected to be the cause of this low coverage is the low level of knowledge of mothers regarding the importance of immunization, including its benefits, schedule, and potential side effects. Lack of information can impact low awareness and participation of parents in completing their children's immunizations. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge levels and the completeness of basic immunizations in children aged 0–12 months. Method: This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach and a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 80 mothers with infants aged 0–12 months, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used included a questionnaire to measure maternal knowledge levels and a checklist to assess the completeness of children's immunizations. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that most mothers had a low level of knowledge (48%). In addition, only 37.5% of infants received complete basic immunizations. The analysis results showed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Maternal knowledge is significantly related to the completeness of basic immunization in children aged 0–12 months. Therefore, it is recommended that Posyandu regularly provide education and counseling to improve maternal knowledge and basic immunization coverage in the community.

Siti Nuraeniah, Roza Indra Yeni, Maria Susila Sumartiningsih, Rima Berlian Putri Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Life Birth https://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jlb/article/view/567 Sun, 07 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Relationship Between Anxiety Levels And Student Academic Achievement At SMK X Jakarta https://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jlb/article/view/569
Background: Anxiety is a psychological factor that can affect students' learning ability and academic achievement. Vocational High School (SMK) students generally face high academic pressure and demands for practical skills, which have the potential to cause anxiety. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and students' academic achievement at SMK X Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with an observational analytical design and a cross-sectional approach method. The population in the study amounted to 65 students, all of whom were sampled using a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using validated instruments, then analyzed using the Spearman Rho correlation test. Results: The analysis showed a very weak positive relationship between anxiety levels and academic achievement, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.006 and a significance value of 0.965 (p > 0.05). This value indicates that statistically there is no significant relationship between anxiety levels and students' academic achievement at SMK X Jakarta. The conclusion is that anxiety does not have a significant effect on academic achievement in the context of this study. These results can be a consideration for schools in developing learning strategies and psychological support for students, although other factors beyond anxiety still need to be considered as determinants of academic success
Apita Nur Rahma, Rima Berlian Putri, Maria Susila Sumartiningsih, Roza Indra Yeni Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Life Birth https://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jlb/article/view/569 Sun, 07 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Overview of The Level of Compliance of Pregnant Women in Taking Iron Tablets at X Regional General Hospital West Jakarta https://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jlb/article/view/580
Background: Anaemia during pregnancy remains a significant health problem in Indonesia, despite the long-standing implementation of iron (Fe) tablet supplementation programmes. One of the factors contributing to the high prevalence of anaemia is the low level of compliance among pregnant women in taking Fe tablets as recommended by medical professionals. However, compliance in taking Fe tablets is crucial to prevent various complications that can endanger the health of both the mother and the foetus. This study aims to determine the level of compliance among pregnant women in consuming iron tablets at RSUD X Jakarta Barat. The study employed a quantitative descriptive design with accidental sampling, involving 77 pregnant women who attended Antenatal Care (ANC) visits during April 2025. The instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using univariate methods and presented in the form of frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 20–35 years (66.2%), had completed high school education (51.9%), worked as housewives (44.2%), and were in their second to fifth pregnancies (51.9%). The level of compliance among pregnant women in taking iron tablets was categorised as compliant for 46 respondents (59.7%) and non-compliant for 31 respondents (40.3%). However, in the Tanete Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area, the exclusive breastfeeding coverage rate remains below the national target, partly due to the low level of knowledge among pregnant women. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing health education through animated videos on the level of knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding in the Tanete Community Health Center area by 2025. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample in this study was 39 pregnant women selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing 25 objective questions that measured respondents' knowledge before and after the intervention. The intervention was carried out in the form of health education through direct counseling supported by animated videos. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon test. Research Results: The results showed a significant increase in the level of knowledge of pregnant women after the health education intervention, with a p-value of 0.000 (P<0.05). Before the intervention, most respondents had fair and poor knowledge, while after the intervention, the majority of respondents showed an increase in knowledge to the good category. Conclusion: It can be concluded that health education significantly influences the increase in knowledge of pregnant women regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding in the Tanete Community Health Center (Puskesmas) work area. Recommendation: It is recommended that educational programs on breastfeeding be routinely integrated into antenatal care (ANC) services, supported by engaging educational media, to increase the knowledge of pregnant women and support the success of the exclusive breastfeeding program in the community.

Tenriwati, Stevi Puspita Sari, Fitriani Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Life Birth https://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jlb/article/view/869 Wed, 24 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Relationship Between Parenting Styles And Parental Eating Behavior Towards Picky Eating Behavior In Preschool Children https://ojs.stikespanritahusada.ac.id/index.php/jlb/article/view/568
Background: Picky eater is a condition in which children exhibit selective eating behavior, such as refusing to try new foods or only wanting to eat certain types of food. This habit can have a negative impact on nutritional adequacy, growth, and children's ability to interact socially. According to WHO, around 28.7% of toddlers in the world experience growth problems, and Indonesia is ranked third in Southeast Asia in this regard. One of the factors that can influence the emergence of picky eating behavior is parenting and parental eating habits. Research Objective: This is to determine the relationship between parenting and parental eating behavior with the tendency of children to become picky eaters. The design uses quantitative descriptive correlation, involving 73 respondents. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: The study showed a significant relationship between parenting and parental eating behavior with picky eating behavior in preschool children (p = 0.001).
